If you cannot change your mind, what can you change?

Courtney Colwell, MA, LMFT

I believe that relationships are key to how people feel in their lives. Connection with others is how we learn, grow and change over time, yet those connections are not always easy and sometimes we need help navigating the journey.

Whatever the unique challenges you or your relationships are facing, I encourage growth by identifying the "inner-critics" and negative cycles with you and look for compassionate solutions to the healthier, happier life you seek.

After 15 years working in the design and creative field, my own journey of loss and change led me to becoming a partner to others growth. It continues to influence my curious, supportive and humorous style.

For the last 10 years I have been providing outpatient therapy in several settings with individuals, couples, families, adolescents and kids. My background also includes conducting therapy in corporate settings, leading wilderness trips in the Boundary Waters and facilitating self-esteem groups for women.

When not at work I am digging in my garden, finding new walking paths, spending time with my family and friends and trying to be as mind-FULL when possible, and kind to myself n the moments when life throws curveballs.
